They said I'll never make it
They screamed I'm full of shit
They marked me as a failure
They likened me to manure
They tossed me on the garbage heap
They labelled me the village "creep"
They lamented the day I was born
They left me shattered and torn

I used their hate and negativity
To open doors of possibility
I erased all hate from within
