ABOUT THE POETS

Hello! Warm greetings to you!

We, the members of Dead Poets Society, hail from all over the world and have come together to share our passion for poetry and literature. We write about almost anything, from belchers, vampire killers and love to oppression, nature and deceased loved ones! We hope you enjoy reading our poetry.

Please leave feedback for us in the comments section - it will be much appreciated! Thank You.

ANNISA

A dreamer, researcher, entrepreneur and writer from Indonesia who is passionately curious about studying and traveling around the world.

She is currently studying to be an Islamic Counselor and dreams of being a lecturer in the very near future. She loves to spend quiet evenings in thoughtful contemplation and meditation. When she's not studying, she likes to research spooktacular topics likes ghosts and time travel! She also loves watching horror movies - the scarier, the better! She loved watching Valak's exploits in The Conjuring 2 and rumour has it, she laughed so much whilst watching The Exorcist that her head scarf fell off!

BALEBILA

A talented guitarist, blogger and much-loved English teacher from Indonesia. When not busy grading exam papers, she loves playing songs on her guitar and practicing gerak bumi on unsuspecting enemies and naughty, insolent students!
She loves cats and firearms and has mastered the art of brewing an ancient Indonesian concoction called Pletok Beer!

She hopes one day to hold rock concerts on Komodo Island and Trunyan Island - the proceeds going to help impoverished human beings around the globe!

Her blog can be found at www.balebilaenglish.com

GENE

Resides in Central California, USA. He is ruder and coarser than most men - a fact self-evident and obvious in his poems!

Works in a hotel in a tourist town where he has to pretend to be polite.

He is an avid researcher of wondrous belches and farts and is the webmaster of one such blog, wherein  you will find stupendously hilarious stories! He loves chocolate and cats and his mastery of the written language is simply sublime! Miaow!

LINA

SOPI

An amateur guitarist and photographer ,she loves rain, loneliness, reading novels and watching horror movies, some people call her as 'anti-social'.

TATUN

A supremely talented mathematics teacher from Indonesia who is as good with words as she is with numbers!

She has an innate love for nature and is an avid photographer. In her spare time, she takes delightful photos of the world around her - often snapping beautiful architecture, alley cats and capturing the inimitable beauty of nature! She hopes one day to capture on camera the elusive Indonesian beauty known as Kuntilanak!! :D

Her photography adventures can be followed on her Instagram account @tatunsyamiah

VAMPIRE

An amateur ghosthunter, vampire and self-proclaimed doctor of weedology from the United Kingdom. Contrary to circulating rumours, he doesn't drink blood! He prefers a hot, steaming mug of Twinings Peppermint tea.

He started writing poetry for fun about 8 years ago and hopes to continue doing so for many centuries to come! ;)

YUNITA

A multi-talented teacher, artist and novelist from Indonesia currently teaching IT and Art. Her sketches, drawings and paintings are beautiful and we hope she opens an exhibition one day - perhaps even embarking on a global tour to showcase her talents! She is currently penning her second novel which is sure to be a success for her imagination knows no bounds.

In her spare time, she can be found curled up with a good novel and a large pot of fresh coffee! She is a fan of Korean cinema and dramas. It is estimated that she used (on average) one box of tissues per episode whilst watching the critically-acclaimed Korean drama series: Goblin!

If you ask nicely, she will make a sketch of you but you'll have to pay her in Aztec Gold coins!
