Oppression

I can imagine their cries
As the soldiers come in
The media spouting lies
As the villages lay burnin'

Unimaginable violence
Screams ringing in the air
The leader sits in silence
Nonchalant, without much care

Wrecked lives and broken homes
Mentally scarred for life
Hearts as hard as stones
Not caring about their strife

Persecution and stolen honour
No mercy for the helpless
Can't ignore the horror
Can't ignore their distress

Gotta stand together and unite
Let them know we care
For their rights we must fight
To release them from this nightmare

(Dedicated to the oppressed people of Rohingya and around the world)
